Game #6 vs CRC
Tonight The Believers Got Beat. The game could have been tied at about 3-3 mid way through the 1'st,but instead the Christian Reformed Team had a 5-1 lead, and never gave up another goal in their 13-1 rout.
Two lines were not enough to keep up to the potent CRC team. They were running on all cylinders, playing a great, fast, team game.Matt and the rest of the B's worked extremely hard all night, but the rink seemed to be sloped in the opponents favour.
Momentum and bounces were not with the B's tonight.
On the bright side,Dennis scored a beauty on a partial breakaway deek. The MVP Hardhat was awarded to Scott Hess,as he exhibited great defensive positional play and a positive attitude all night long.
The result of tonight's game was not much fun for the B's,but this spanking will only help the process for the Believers to mature as a team.

Sorry i couldn't be there guys. I am recovering slowly after having my wisdom teeth extracted.
After beating the crofton firehall like we did last weekend, it is only fitting that we get a little of our own medicine. It's tough to skate with a team like the CRC with only two lines, they have some potent speedsters on wing that drive the net hard. We'll get 'em back though!!
Good on Scott for being the hard hat of the game. He is most definately our un-sung hero and has been from the beleivers beginning. It is good to see him get some recognition. Scott has impecable hand-eye coordination and timing. It amazes me how he can poke the puck off of the stick of an on-rushing player time and time again. I have never before seen someone who can consistantly clear the puck out of the zone with only one hand on their stick.
THIS JUST IN: I have it from my sources that Bryce (the Hammer) Hamre is contemplating a return from retirement. He has been cleared by medical staff and is now working on his wife! (sorry Chelsey)
INJURY UPDATE:
While D-man Ryan Hollett will be in the line-up this saturday night, his brother Nathan will not. Nathan sustained, what is being called, an upper body injury at work on wednesday afternoon. The speedy winger has since taken a few days off of work to rehab at his duncan residence. Nathan will be re-evaluated on monday before givin clearance to work or play.
I caught up with Nathan at his parent's home thursday night where he is quoted, saying "we should hang out, like old-school". The offensively creative nathan has been a member of the Believer's since their forming in early 2006. He has provided a valuable spark to the 'B's' roster with his grit, tennacity and speed.
With Darren Rae already side-lined with an ankle injury, Greg Hollett and Bryan Hamre are, yet again, seeking a finnisher who can step up on the right side to put those, ever important, points on the board. When asked to comment on the injury, centreman Greg Hollett replied, "I hope this doesn't mean i have to fore-check too?!?"
With the, newly established, first line of Doug Simpson, Paul Brown and Dennis Naden firing on all cylinders, a possible consideration for the vacant possition is offensive power-house Matt Stark. With Hamre's new-found touch around the net and Greg's playmaking skills, Stark's heavy shot and power-forward capabilities appear to be a perfect fit.
Please pray for a speedy and lasting recovery for Nathan.
