Game # 12 vs New Life Baptist
There was no shortage of 'get up and go ' with the Believers game tonight.Except for a late game surge by the New Life team, the B's dominated tonights contest. The Believers won 10-8. The whole team contributed as many players had multi point games.Greg-5 points, Darrin and Matt 4 points;Ed, Marty and Nate 3 points, while the defence played strong with 9 points in total. The last line of defence, that being Paul Brown looked like a seasoned veteran making key saves of the enormous variety. Darrin Rae earned the hardhat with a gritty 1 goal, 3 assist evening. When the Believers play a real team game , with short shifts and responsible defensive play, we can match any team out there. Bring It On !

my "unsung" 3 star selection:
3rd star: Scott Hess
The guy rarely makes a mistake out there. He always makes the right play, whether it is up the boards or "D" to "D". He showed a seemingly tireless composure and that was his second game of the day!!! I tell ya', an aspiring d-man can learn alot from watching Scott play the game.
2nd Star: Bryan "the Hammer" Hamre.
It goes without saying that most of us have improved our game since the bigginings of the "B's" club around a year ago, but has anyone come as far as this guy? His skating is agile, his shot quick and acurate, and he doesn't look the least bit out of place along side Nathan and Matt, though they combine for over 20 years of organized hockey as compared to Bryan's 3 years of experience.
1st Star: Paul Brown
Having missed the first game that Paul played between the pipes, I had no idea what to expect but it didn't take very long to realize that we had a gamer in net last night. Paul's concentration was perfect. His ability to keep focused until the play is dead without losing track of the puck, or his positioning, is a trademark of a great goaltender (something Cloutier could benifit from). In a position of elevated pressure, Paul weathered the storm and brought us out on top. Good job!
Big game tonight boys!
It might be a tough one, but it is through the tough times we spend together, becoming real, working things through that we become more tightly knit!
Remember the promise " all things work together fo good for those who love Him (Jesus)".
Talk to you all in the post game.
