A Very Fun Game

The Christmas festivities continued as the Believers played a Dec 27 early evening game against the Oasis. It seemed like everyone was very motivated to work off their Christmas turkey as the game was very fast from beginning to end. Both teams played well and the goalies allowed no easy goals. The Oasis goalie. Justin Wall, the youngest brother of the Wall clan robbed the B's shooters continually, earning the game's first star. The Oasis Oil had a 4-2 lead, but the Believers persevered to end the game in a 4-4 draw. A suitable ending to a well played , enjoyable hockey game. The goal scorers were Wes Fenner with 2, Jeremy Doiron scoring after a one year absence from the game and Kiefer Smiley, playing on a defensive pairing with Todd Smiley. Kiefer is the starting goaltender for the Trail Smokeaters. He was home for Christmas, and this was the first time he ever played with his dad.The Believers next game is on Saturday, Jan 2 at 10:10 at Fuller Lake against the ET Talons.
