Game #18 vs The Oasis Church

Tonight both teams had a good time as the Believers just barely defeated The Oasis
7-6. Other than a bit of hooking and clutching, the game was a spirited, yet clean affair.Nate Hollett played great, recording 2 goals and 2 assists.Newcomer Todd Smiley showed his obvious skills in his debut, scoring once and adding 2 helpers.Dougy Simpson was speeding up and down the wing all night , scoring 2 beauties. Kevin had 3 points, while Scott Carruthers,Bryan and Matt had 2 points each. Paul played good in net but the Oasis scored 4 times off lucky breaks. The O's worked hard all night and had no give up in them, even though they were being outplayed.Ed and Matt showed great hustle as they were always getting back to limit the O's to only a few odd man breaks. These two teams meet for their final meeting two weeks from now on March 4.

Game #17 vs Crofton Fire Hall

With five regulars out of the lineup tonight, the Believers had to do some line juggling to prevail. With the help of newcomer Kevin Janzen, the B's won 9-5.
Kevin led the way with 6 goals ,with Nathan ,Dan and Bryan adding singles.Paul Brown made some enormous saves, showing he is more than a backup tender. The team competed hard ,and didn't retaliate when some chippy play from the competition was evident.
Dan, Matt and Bryan played well as did the whole team.

Game #16 vs CRC

The Believers always find the CRC team a most challenging opponent and tonight was no different.Although the scoring chances and shots were relatively even, the CRC Kings came out on top with a 10-5 victory. All three lines contributed on the scoresheet with Dennis and Matt scoring twice and Greg with one. Matt Stark's second goal was as pretty a goal as we've seen showing soft hands and great patience. Defenceman Dan Gillard earned the team hardhat with his smooth skating, responsible defensive game and the ability to pinch when neccesary. This CRC team will bury their opportunities and between too many penalties, and not being able to clear the zone, the B's were beat fair and square. The whole Believers team played well tonight, but small mistakes made the difference..
