Game #6 vs CRC

Tonight The Believers Got Beat.The game could have been tied at about 3-3 mid way through the 1'st,but instead the Christian Reformed Team had a 5-1 lead,and never gave up another goal in their 13-1 rout.

Two lines were not enough to keep up to the potent CRC team.They were running on all cylinders,playing a great, fast, team game.Matt and the rest of the B's worked extremely hard all night,but the rink seemed to be sloped in the opponents favour.
Momentum and bounces were not with the B's tonight.

On the bright side,Dennis scored a beauty on a partial breakaway deek.The MVP Hardhat was awarded to Scott Hess,as he exhibited great defensive positional play and a positive attitude all night long.

The result of tonight's game was not much fun for the B's,but this spanking will only help the process for the Believers to mature as a team.

Game #5 vs Crofton Fire Hall

Having only 2 forward lines and 4 defencemen ,the Believers played awesomely and defeated the newly formed Crofton Fire Dept , 20-2.

Paul Brown earned the MVP Hardhat with 7 goals as he, Dennis and Doug were buzzing around the opponents net like bees around a hive.

Flyin Bryan Hamre played great popping 4 keepers himself.

All 10 guys played energetic,positional hockey tonight.The play was lopsided but the Crofton boys enjoyed it all the same.Thanx to Sean Roberts who only allowed 2 goals,both perfect deflections by his defencemen in front of him,not to mention any names,Marty and Ken.

Unfortunately Phil Cowley is on the injured Reserve as his torn MCL will need surgery before he can play again."Next year will come soon,Phil ."
Ken Dame has a nagging neck injury which he will rest until the New Year.Also,Darrin's ankle is still not game ready so he is day to day.

The Believers are a great bunch of guys and it is a pleasure to be the captain.
The Team is improving every game and we have great chemistry.We are a force to reckon with !!
